- 2 Roma or plum tomatoes, ¼ inch diced
- 1 red onion, ¼ inch diced
- ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
- ⅛ teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- Pinch of sugar
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- Combine all ingredients in a serving bowl and serve immediately as a side dish.
